VintageGayLoops.com is a rather obscure sounding name for a porn website, but then again most of the content itself is pretty obscure, so I guess the title fits. This old school site revisits some of the classic and humble beginnings of gay porn by showcasing those early days of man on man sex. As it is described in one of the few blog entries on the site, “Vintage Gay Loops is a chronicle of the history of 8-mm adult gay films from the early 1960s to the mid-1970s. These films, made in black and white or color with no sound, were produced as calling cards for escort services. They were developed as 8-mm loops and special screenings were eventually set up to show these films. It was all underground, run by the mafia.” Now I’m not sure there is a lot of truth about the mafia story, but these cheaply shot, low budget films definitely showcase some hot men from the early decades of porn in some hot raw scenarios.
There are about 50, 10-20 minute long clips so far and the sex just seems like a natural unscripted or choreographed romp between men of the era. Some pretty stunning pictures, considering how long ago they were shot, accompany each scene, and all of the actors are masculine studs that absolutely demonstrate where we get our modern definition of a porn star. No steroids, no shaving, no condoms, just uninhibited lust.
The videos obviously are very old, and the picture quality really suffers. It is very grainy because of the original medium, and the editing is hardly expert. Plus, there is no sound, only some cheesy music, which has been overlaid on each scene. There isn’t anything too exceptional about the site except that it does seem almost like forbidden fruit because of the time that the scenes were shot in, which makes it feel a little dirtier which for porn is always a good thing.
The site is easy to navigate and the videos are simple to download. VintageGayLoops.com is updated on a regular basis, which means there will always be something new to explore. There is a brief, erotic description of each scene, and the action in the videos starts instantaneously so there is no fast-forwarding necessary.
I would say that VintageGayLoops.com is more of a novelty site than anything else, but if you are looking for a throwback to yesteryear featuring natural boys enjoying natural sex, and you don’t mind extremely limited production value, then you may be surprised by what you find.
